One thing I have always wanted to try is laser hair removal! I am so tired of unwanted hair! I used to wax but that started to get super pricey and I would have to take time out to go get waxed. So with that being said I wanted to start exploring the world of home IPL devices and how they can your hair removal routine. I was dying to unlock the secrets of achieving smooth, hair-free skin in the comfort of my own home.
WHAT ARE IPL DEVICES?
IPL devices work by emitting controlled pulses of light that are absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles. These pulses of light convert into heat, which damages the hair follicle and inhibits future hair growth.
These devices are great to have at home because of multiple reasons. First, the convenience, second its cost-effectiveness, and third time-saving benefits. These devices can offer long-term hair reduction with consistent use, allowing you to achieve salon-quality results at a fraction of the price.
MY EXPERIENCE
The device that I am using is the Ulike Air++.
Right off the bat even before using the device I was already impressed! The device was enclosed in a gorgeous green box with felt on the inside to protect the item. The device also comes with everything you need even including a razor and a pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes from the flashes.
To my surprise before even using the device you are suppose to shave the areas. Then after reading the instructions look at your skin tone and determine your level of treatment based off of this.
PROS:
-The device was gorgeous.
-Came with everything to get started.
-Super easy to use. (literally a plug and play)
-Doesn’t hurt and in fact has a beautiful cooling touch to it.
CONS:
-You have to leave it plugged in. It’s not rechargeable so depending on where your outlets are it might be hard to reach certain body parts.
-This particular model only works with light-medium skin tones not darker skin tones.
Overall I am super excited to use this device. You are suppose to use the device once a week for 12 weeks to see optimal results. Even after 4 weeks you should see some results so my plan is to come back in a month and give all the updates.
